Stainless Steel Quoting Details

One of our goals as a CNC routing and stainless steel company is to make the buying process as easy as possible. We’ve provided an overview of our services below, so be sure to take a look and call us today with any questions.

We use 14-gauge 304 stainless steel sheets to make ultra-durable stainless steel counter tops that will stand the test of time.

Unlike butcher block, laminate, Formica, or other popular “affordable” materials, stainless steel counter tops will not wear out after a few years. It’s one of the most durable counter top materials on the market, and it makes for a cost-effective, long-lasting kitchen remodel.

There are two standard metal finishes we offer. We’d be happy to provide free samples of each; just contact us today and we’ll send the samples your way.

  • #4 Brushed Finish – Our most common variety, this finish has a uniform grain going in one direction that matches most stainless steel appliances.
  • Matte Finish – A matte finish carries a slightly more dull appearance, where the stainless steel is finished with an orbital sander with 220 grit sandpaper.
  • Custom textures and finishes can be quoted upon request.

Rough dimensions must be provided within a few inches. Stainless steel counter tops longer than 10′ must be made in two pieces and either welded together or left with a hairline seam.

Our experienced welders and finishers do seam welding that is second to none. For a more cost-effective setup, we can leave the seam un-welded, and install hardware in the substrate to tighten the pieces together for a hairline seam.

Integrated Sinks

Integrating a stainless steel sink into the counter top has become a popular way to achieve a sleek and seamless look. Generally, the sink is provided by the customer for us to weld into the counter top. Sinks must be undermount style, and should be approved by our CNC routing company before purchasing. We can quote a custom fabricated sink as well if necessary. If you have any questions about the sink you’d like to install, give us a call today!

We can provide custom cutouts to accommodate drop-in sinks, ranges, and more. Cutouts are some of the best ways to make sure your kitchen is functional as well as modern in design.

Built-In Backsplashes

Our seamless built-in backsplashes typically rises four to six inches off the counter, and they have a 3/4-inch thick profile. Please note that the built-in backsplash is different from the backsplash panels we provide.

The backsplash panels are flat sheets that are glued to the wall, and generally occupy all of the wall space above the counter top and below cabinets.

Edges and Corners

Simple straight edges give a sleek look and are most common in home remodels. Raised marine edges and other custom edges with straight bends can be quoted upon request. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to make rounded or “bullnose” edges. Corners are welded and polished and have 1/8 -inch radius, so they are not sharp. Rounded corners with a larger radius can be quoted upon request.

For quoting purposes, it is important to note where walls are located so that we know which edges of the counter top need to be finished, and which will not be exposed.

Measurements, Delivery, and Installation

Our stainless steel counter top and surface company offers on-site measurements, delivery and installation for customers in South Florida at affordable prices. Pricing will vary depending on customer location and size of counter top(s). Final computer drawings are sent to all customers for approval before fabrication.

For out of state customers, we can package and ship custom stainless steel counter tops on a pallet via LTL Freight. We’ve shipped numerous stainless steel counter tops and surfaces, so we’re well-versed in ensuring that each package is delivered promptly, safely, and effectively.
